Founded in 2001, Highlander is the only listed company in China with implementation capabilities in both Smart Ocean and Intelligent Navigation (stock code: 300065). The company has won the First Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Award and the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. Headquartered in Beijing Environmental Protection Technology Park, Highlander has branches in Shanghai, Guangdong, Qingdao, Hainan, Nantong and Wuhan, as well as subsidiaries and R&D institutions in Germany, Singapore and Canada. In 2004, it became a naval supplier, with products serving both civil and military-standard markets.

2025

Awarded the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress at the 2025 China Intelligent Transportation Association Science and Technology Award.

Won the bid for the "Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Marine Science Observation Network and Shore-Based Support Base Project – Hardware and Software Components."

The first offshore wind-powered subsea data center project was signed in Shanghai Lingang.

Selected as a national "Green and Low-Carbon Advanced Technology Demonstration Project."

Won the bid for the Hainan Commercial Space Launch "Reusable Rocket Maritime Recovery System" project.

2024

Subsea intelligent computing cloud went live.

X-band solid-state radar obtained DNV EU type approval.

Won the bid for the Hainan Provincial Marine Disaster Comprehensive Prevention and Control Capacity Building Project.

X-band 300W solid-state radar obtained CCS certification from China Classification Society.

Integrated Navigation System (INS600), Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS600), Navigation Radar (RADAR900C), and Solid-State Radar (RADAR900S) obtained DNV EU type approval.

2023

Highlander's intelligent system obtained CCS certification from China Classification Society.

The INF and MH intelligent systems received the first type approval certificate in China's smart ship sector from Bureau Veritas (BV).

The Subsea Data Center won the First Prize of the "2023 Data Center Science and Technology Achievement Award."

Became the first domestic company to obtain the DNV EU type approval certificate for solid-state radar.

The Subsea Data Center won the First Prize in the Southern Regional Final of the "Huacai Cup" Computing Power Competition.

Participated in the delivery and maiden voyage of China's first digital twin intelligent scientific research vessel.

Selected among the Top 16 of the 2023 MWC Shanghai Communications New Power List.

2022

The first domestically produced atmospheric diving system (ADS) successfully completed its trial.

The Subsea Data Center won the Carbon Neutral Technology Solution Leading Project Award at the UNIDO 2022 Global Call.

The intelligent energy efficiency management system obtained CCS certification from China Classification Society.

Completed the first commercial subsea data center and launched it into operation, and commenced R&D on "Subsea Data Center + Offshore Wind Power."

"An Optimized Speed Solution for Merchant Vessels" received national patent approval.

The Subsea Data Center won the "Yazhou Light of Sanya 2021" award.

Became the first domestic company to obtain high-level cybersecurity certification.

2021

Awarded the Second Prize of the China Institute of Navigation Science and Technology Invention Award in 2021.

The Subsea Data Center was included in the national and local "14th Five-Year Plan" for marine economy development.

The first commercial subsea data center demonstration project was established in Hainan.

2020

Project Natick Phase II completed testing, validating low PUE and high reliability.

Highlander conducted UDC prototype testing in Zhuhai to verify technical feasibility.

Completed the development of the inland navigation system and achieved a technological breakthrough in the electronic lookout system.

The subsea network project passed testing by national professional institutions, demonstrating clear technical superiority.

Received the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from Shanghai and Hainan provinces.

Was recognized as a national "Little Giant" enterprise (specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative).

Completed the issuance of convertible bonds, raising 730 million yuan.

The listed company completed its institutional reform and introduced Shenzhen SEZ Construction and Development Group as a shareholder.

2019

Successfully delivered the four demonstration vessels for the Smart Ship 1.0 project.

The company's integrated smart ship solution was officially launched, and it secured an inland vessel intelligence project.

Made a successful debut at the Shenzhen Marine Expo and the Shanghai International Maritime Exhibition.

Restructured into a joint-stock company and officially launched the IPO process.

VMS participated in the "Shenzhou VII" project.

2007

The Ship Steering Control System (SCS) and Vessel Electronic Integrated System (VEIS) were successfully developed, ushering in an era of product diversification.

Entered into an ODM partnership with Germany's SAM.

2006

Passed the GJB 9000 military standard system audit.


2005

Formulated the "Two Networks, One Core" development strategy.

The proprietary VMS product was successfully deployed at the Ministry of Transport's Salvage and Rescue Bureau.


2004

Became a designated supplier for the Chinese Navy.

The VDR production base passed the factory inspection by Germany's BSH and met international standards.

2003

The VDR passed certification by Lloyd's Register and was installed on the Korean ocean-going vessel "Daen-ho," marking the first time a VDR with independent intellectual property rights developed in China was installed and put into use on an ocean-going ship.

2002

The VDR was installed on the "Xinglu" of Bohai Ferry, marking the successful installation of China's first VDR unit on a vessel.

2001
