Heading Toward the Sea with Ambition, Linking Taizhou | Highlander Shines at Taizhou Shipbuilding Industry Development Conference, Solid-State Radar Empowers Intelligent Upgrading of Shipping

On June 17, the Taizhou Shipbuilding Industry Development Conference, themed "Heading Toward the Sea with Ambition, Linking Taizhou," officially opened at the Taizhou Bund Heyuan Center. Highlander made its appearance at this grand event, presenting its independently developed HIGHLANDER 900S Series solid-state radar, and joined industry stakeholders from government, enterprises, shipyards, and financial institutions to explore new pathways for the high-end, green, and intelligent transformation of the shipbuilding industry.

As a core manufacturing base for small and medium-sized vessels in China, Taizhou hosted this conference under the guidance of provincial and municipal industry and information technology authorities, bringing together shipbuilding industry associations and multiple other parties to build a full-industry-chain matchmaking platform spanning "shipowners—shipyards—suppliers—finance—research." The event featured five core segments: on-site industry visits, the inaugural ceremony of the Taizhou Shipbuilding Development Alliance, a centralized project signing ceremony, keynote sharing by industry experts, and targeted supply chain matchmaking. The conference gathered leading resources from across the maritime industry, focusing on global opportunities in green and intelligent vessel transformation, and working collectively to build a core industrial cluster for open, intelligent manufacturing along the Yangtze River Delta coastal region.

At the conference, several authoritative industry experts delivered in-depth presentations covering key topics including shipbuilding industry development trends, shifts in the international shipping market, financial solutions for vessel manufacturing, and talent development for enterprise digital management. Their analyses precisely examined the current opportunities and pain points within the shipbuilding industry, pointing the way forward for supporting equipment manufacturers and shipbuilders.

As a benchmark enterprise in China for intelligent shipborne perception equipment, Highlander showcased its core all-solid-state shipborne radar products at this event. Unlike traditional magnetron radars, the equipment employs pulse compression technology, offering low power consumption, long service life, and outstanding clutter suppression capability. It can accurately detect small targets such as small boats, buoys, and floating obstacles, meeting the safety requirements of vessel navigation. Ongoing maintenance requires no magnetron replacement, aligning precisely with the urgent needs of Taizhou's shipbuilding industry upgrade.

During the supply chain matchmaking and exchange session, our company engaged in in-depth on-site discussions with local shipyards, shipowners, and shipping enterprises, exchanging cooperation ideas around specific projects including intelligent navigation support for small and medium-sized vessels, intelligent retrofit of aging vessels, and perception equipment supply for demonstration vessels. Backed by multiple authoritative classification certifications including CCS and DNV, as well as a large number of real-vessel application cases, Highlander showcased its domestic intelligent navigation equipment solutions as a substitute for imported products.

This conference appearance marks an important step in Highlander's efforts to deepen its presence in the Zhejiang market. Going forward, the company will continue to leverage its proprietary strengths in solid-state radar and intelligent navigation systems, forge deeper connections with Taizhou's shipbuilding industry chain resources, and contribute to the quality upgrading of the local shipbuilding sector through domestically produced, highly reliable intelligent perception equipment—working hand in hand with industry partners to build a modern, green, intelligent, and safe maritime ecosystem.
