Recently, Highlander successfully held a themed solid-state radar promotion event in the coastal city of Dalian. Centered on the theme "Solid-State Radar, Worry-Free Detection — AI Empowerment, Automatic Diagnosis," the event brought together local Dalian shipping groups, shipbuilding enterprises, maritime operation and maintenance units, ship owners, and industry technical experts. Focusing on shipborne navigation and perception equipment, the event featured in-depth sharing on the core technologies, real-ship application cases, and one-stop solutions of the new-generation solid-state radar, building a platform for technical exchange and supply-demand matching in the northern shipping industry.


As a core shipping hub in northern China, Dalian boasts a strong foundation in shipbuilding, ocean-going transport, and maritime services, and is also a key market for the upgrading of domestic intelligent ships and green shipping equipment. The industry currently faces widespread pain points such as high maintenance costs, short service life, and insufficient detection accuracy in complex sea conditions with traditional magnetron radars, while demand for ship intelligence and equipment domesticization continues to rise. By bringing this promotion event to Dalian, Highlander is basing itself in the northern market, responding to the practical needs of local shipping enterprises for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and safe navigation, and offering self-developed solid-state radar products suitable for all types of working vessels, ocean-going cargo ships, and engineering vessels.

At the event, Highlander's core technology and marketing teams delivered a comprehensive product presentation. Starting from the underlying technical logic and comparing the shortcomings of traditional radars, they detailed the five core advantages of solid-state radar: low power consumption and safety, precise detection, maintenance-free long service life, intelligent and easy operation, and domestic compliance with export capability. The equipment can stably capture small targets such as small boats, buoys, and floating obstacles in heavy fog, torrential rain, and strong wave clutter environments, while simultaneously supporting synchronized tracking of over 100 navigational targets. By eliminating the wear-prone magnetron components, the overall equipment failure rate is significantly reduced, cutting vessel lifecycle operation and maintenance expenses.


Highlander's solid-state radar has obtained dual authoritative classifications from China Classification Society (CCS) and Norway's DNV. Performance validated by extensive real-ship navigation data is on par with top international products, meeting the needs of both domestic new and existing vessel intelligent retrofits as well as compliant export outfitting for ocean-going ships, making it the preferred domestic substitution solution for shipborne navigation equipment.

Following the presentation session, the event featured hands-on product demonstrations, technical Q&A, and one-on-one in-depth discussions. Attendees observed the solid-state radar hardware and operating interface up close, directly viewing the display, and engaged in-depth with the technical and sales teams on core issues such as retrofit compatibility for older vessels, equipment installation and commissioning, after-sales maintenance, and bulk procurement cooperation policies. A number of local shipyards and shipping enterprises expressed cooperation intentions on-site and plan to advance the implementation of demonstration vessel outfitting pilot projects.


Industry experts attending the event noted that Dalian's shipping industry is accelerating the cultivation of new quality productive forces in intelligent shipping, and that shipborne perception equipment is the core foundation for safe and autonomous vessel navigation. Highlander's domestically produced solid-state radar combines high reliability with cost advantages, precisely addressing long-standing industry pain points, and will provide strong support for the intelligent upgrading of vessels along the northern coast.
