Highlander GALAXY Leadership Program Phase II Bootcamp Concludes: Hands-On AI Training Empowers Digital Transformation

From August 28 to 30, the second phase of Highlander's 2026 GALAXY Leadership Talent Program bootcamp was held at Highlander ZhiChuang Park. This phase focused on hands-on AI practice, helping young core talents advance from "understanding AI" to "using AI well."

The program was structured around the main course Intelligent Acceleration: Highlander's AI Transformation Roadmap and Hands-On AI Skills Development, and advanced in three levels along a theory-to-practice path:

  • Cognitive breakthrough — clarifying the strategic logic behind introducing AI into the enterprise, establishing AI as the key anchor connecting the digital space and the physical ocean;

  • Strategic pathways — in light of the company's two core businesses of data centers and marine technology, mapping out the evolutionary direction of "exploring the digital space → restructuring digital systems → exploring the physical space";

  • Hands-on practice — live exercises in advanced prompt engineering, Agent and RAG knowledge base development, and AI Skills development, distilling team experience into reusable intelligent tools.

Progressing from fundamentals to advanced applications, participants first came to understand "why to use AI" before tackling "how to use AI."

Guest sharing + mentor-led practice: connecting AI tools with organizational capability

The program invited two industry guests: Peng Liang, co-founder and Chairman of the Board of UJU Holding, and Geeson, Chief Product Officer and Group VP. Both have long worked at the forefront of digital marketing and AI commercialization. Their sharing centered on "From AI Tools to Organizational Capability": the value of AI goes beyond boosting individual efficiency — it must evolve from personal usage into team methodology and ultimately crystallize into organizational capability.

The specially invited mentor for this phase, Wei Lingrui, is a hands-on expert in AI and digital operations. He holds a doctorate in technology and operations management, along with professional qualifications in data governance, project management, and enterprise architecture. He led the practical sessions of the program, guiding participants step by step — from large language model selection and advanced prompt engineering, to Agent and RAG knowledge base development, and finally AI Skills development — all tailored to Highlander's business scenarios.

Learning combined with practice: bringing AI down to every role and every business process

The program emphasized "understand it, practice it, apply it." Each module followed a "explanation → demonstration → hands-on practice" rhythm: methods were first explained clearly, then demonstrated live, and finally participants completed exercises in class, resolving any issues on the spot rather than leaving them for after the course.

All hands-on exercises were built around Highlander's real business scenarios. During the training, participants built an internal AI agent based on Highlander's proprietary knowledge base on site, turning team wisdom into corporate assets — when the program concluded, the tools stayed with the company, and participants left with the methodology.

Advancing the talent strategy: building a solid foundation for growth with AI capabilities

The company's digital and intelligent transformation is deepening. For Highlander, AI is not an anxious move to chase external trends, but an inherent need for the evolution of its two core businesses. Enabling young core talents to master hands-on AI capabilities and establish digital mindsets ahead of the curve is key to the company's long-term development.

Going forward, the company will continue to roll out a series of training programs across six capability areas, aiming to build a management team that is young, AI-savvy, able to deliver on performance targets, and adept at using digital tools — building a talent pipeline for the company's future growth.
