On October 13, the sub-forum of the 26th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) — the "Intelligent Manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta · Co-creating a New Journey: Yangtze River Delta Industrial Intelligence Innovation Development Forum" — was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Hosted by Yangtze River Delta Investment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., the forum focused on industrial intelligence, regional coordination and the commercialization of technological advances, and brought participants together to explore new pathways for the intelligent upgrading of manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta.

During the award presentation segment of the forum, the Shanghai Lingang Underwater Data Center Project of Shanghai HiCloud Technology Co., Ltd. won the "Yangtze River Delta New Intelligence Award" in the "2025 Forbes China New Intelligence Award" Selection.

At the forum, Cheng Peng, Party Secretary and Chairman of Yangtze River Delta Investment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.; Zhang Wei, Party Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Working Committee for Economy and Informatization; and Qian Feng, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, attended and delivered remarks. Chen Shiyi, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Carme Artigas, former Co-chair of the UN High-level Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence; Bao Jie, founder of Core Horizon; and Wang Suyang, General Manager of the Technology Finance Department of Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank, also joined the exchanges.

The forum revolved around topics including the economic governance of industrial artificial intelligence, engineering-oriented AI + CAE, quantum sensing chips, and technology finance supporting the commercialization of research results, with the attending guests sharing frontier insights and industrial practice. The forum also held the unveiling of the Yangtze River Delta Industrial Innovation Consortium, cooperation signings and the release of industrial software-related results, further aligning innovation resources with industry needs.

"Industrial intelligence is accelerating into production scenarios, and behind this there is no way around the support of computing power. How to make computing power supply serve both efficiency and green development is precisely what the Shanghai Lingang Underwater Data Center Project sets out to explore." The underwater data center project uses natural seawater as a cooling source and combines it with Lingang's offshore wind power resources, converting the advantages of marine resources into a development advantage for green computing power infrastructure — providing an innovative pathway for data centers to cut energy consumption and save fresh water.

From the industrial intelligence applications highlighted at the forum to the industrialization of technological advances, Hailanyun's practice forms a natural connection with these themes: expanding the way computing power infrastructure is built through underwater data center innovation, supporting the intelligent upgrading of industry with green computing power, and driving innovation results to land through industrial cooperation.

This "Yangtze River Delta New Intelligence Award" adds another honor to the Shanghai Lingang Underwater Data Center Project.
