Held from October 16 to 19 at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center, the 4th Fujian International Maritime Equipment Expo 2026 (hereinafter referred to as the “Expo”) was themed “Navigating Green and Smart, Connecting the Deep Blue.” Highlander took the spotlight with two flagship intelligent navigation products — the HLD-RADAR 900S all-solid-state marine navigation radar and the NavMind autonomous navigation system — showcasing China’s cutting-edge ship perception and intelligent navigation technologies. The booth drew a steady stream of shipowners, design institutes, shipping companies, and equipment suppliers, who stopped to inspect the products and hold in-depth consultations.

At the Booth: What Customers Care About Most
The Expo brought together upstream and downstream players from the global marine equipment supply chain, focusing on green shipping, intelligent navigation, and deep-sea equipment, and building a platform for technical exchange, supply-demand matching, and industrial collaboration. Highlander’s booth stayed busy throughout, with a constant flow of professional visitors arriving to observe and negotiate. On issues of key concern to customers — domestic substitution, intelligent retrofit of existing vessels, and the implementation of autonomous navigation for offshore and inland waterway ships — Li Changwei, Chief Engineer of Highlander, and Jiang Huai, Executive Deputy General Manager of the Product Business Division, led the on-site reception team. They met customers face to face and walked them through product performance, solution fit, and project implementation paths, while gathering first-hand market demand and precisely matching individual retrofit needs and newbuilding outfitting requirements.
HLD-RADAR 900S: No Longer Dependent on Magnetrons
The HLD-RADAR 900S solid-state radar on display uses third-generation gallium nitride (GaN) solid-state transmission technology and eliminates consumable components such as the traditional magnetron. It offers a long service life and low maintenance costs, and delivers outstanding small-target detection and identification even under harsh sea states with rain and sea clutter. Certified by the China Classification Society (CCS), it serves both newbuilding outfitting and the domestic replacement of radar on ageing vessels, and is Highlander’s flagship domestically developed radar product for near-term promotion.

NavMind: Multi-Source Fusion, Phased Autonomy
Another star exhibit, the NavMind autonomous navigation system, is built for the intelligent upgrade of inland waterway and offshore vessels. Powered by AI algorithms, it fuses targets from multiple sensing sources — radar, AIS, and vision — and provides core capabilities including intelligent collision avoidance, track keeping, assisted berthing and unberthing, and remote monitoring. It supports phased autonomy upgrades and can be extended with value-added modules such as energy efficiency management and smart engine room. Suitable for new-energy vessels, river-sea intermodal ships, and other vessel types, it has been deployed on multiple trunk routes including the Yangtze River and the Pearl River, delivering ship-shore integrated, full-lifecycle intelligent navigation solutions.

Amid an industry wave of accelerating ship intelligence and domestic substitution, Highlander continues to deepen its focus on intelligent navigation. Committed to independent R&D, the company has connected the key links of perception radar, intelligent navigation, and onboard data integration to build a safe, reliable, and cost-effective matrix of domestically developed intelligent navigation equipment.
The Fuzhou Expo was both a concentrated showcase of technological achievements and an important opportunity to get closer to the market and listen to customers. Going forward, Highlander will continue to refine the capabilities of its solid-state radar and NavMind system, iterate them for more application scenarios, and support the green and intelligent transformation of the shipping industry with robust domestically developed equipment, contributing to the high-quality development of the marine equipment sector.
